Hotels in Rome

There are so many hotels in Rome, that trying to find out about the best one to stay in can be tricky! I’ve found three hotels – one for each budget and all with great locations, to try and help you decide on where to stay!

The first hotel is the budget option, Hotel Panda. It costs around €68 for a double bedroom but you have to pay about €20 extra if you would like your own en-suite. The rooms are small and simple and the hotel does not provide breakfast, however, the location is fantastic! The Hotel Panda is walking distance from some great shopping areas including Via del Corso and Via del Tritone. On the other hand if you are looking for more of a cultural visit then Hotel Panda is also walking distance from Via Margutta which is the street of artists and the street of antiques, Via del Babuino. If you visit Rome in the summer and stay in Hotel Panda don’t forget that you have to pay an extra €6 for air conditioning!

The second hotel is Hotel Quirinale and is the mid-range option. This hotel has a total of 209 rooms which come complete with large beds, high ceilings, antique ornaments and a flat screen television. The rooms also have black out curtains which is great if you’ve drank too much from the minibar the night before! This hotel is in a great location for sight-seeing as it’s surrounded by the Trevi Fountain and the Piazza della Repubblica. It’s great for those travelling into Rome by train as it is just minutes from the main train station. The deluxe rooms start at around €200 per night but that does include free use of the hotels private garden and its fitness facilities.

The third and final hotel is Hotel de Russie and this is the high-end budget option! You can expect to pay around €450 for a room at this five-star hotel but if you really want to stay in complete luxury then pay a bit extra and stay in the Rocco Forte Suite where you will receive a complimentary buffet breakfast, complimentary use of a mobile phone so you can book ahead at all restaurants and even a complimentary unpacking and packing service! Hotel de Russie is home to one of the best health clubs in Rome which has a hydropool, Jacuzzi, sauna and Turkish steam bath. This hotel is so up market that it even has its own compilation CD which features music from Africa, Russia and Brazil! If you weren’t already tempted enough to stay in this elegant hotel, it is only a 10 minute walk from two of the most famous attractions in Rome, Vatican City and the Sistine Chapel.

All of these hotels are in great central locations, however if you want to find out about more Rome hotels then there are plenty of travel guides that you can read! If the budget option is too expensive for you, then I would suggest finding out about the hostels in Rome because some of them are just as nice as staying in a hotel!
